•  Right to information Demanded

Indigenous peopels from Ilam district demanded their right to information on a programme jointly lauched by Nepal Kirat Kulung Language and Cultural Development and Chulachuli UNESCO Club-Kathmandu on 29th December 2006. More than 62 participants were gathered in the programme in which government officials and civil societies including the representatives of different indigenous peoples shared their views to establish the rights of indigenous nationalities.    Read More

 
•  Alliance Formed and IPs Problems/Issues Identified

CUC-KTM and Association of Nepal Kirat Kulung Language and Cultural Development-Ilam jointly organized a meeting of Indigenous Nationalities in Ilam on 14th December 2006 to form an alliance with the representatives of the indigenous groups - Lepcha, Limbu, Thami, Nachhiring, Kulung, Bantawa, Yamphu, Lohorung, Yolmo. •  Janajati Empowerment and Inclusive Project (JEIP)

Chulachuli UNESCO Club-Kathmandu has become a partner organization of the Janajati Empowerment and Inclusive Project (JEIP)facilitated by NGO-Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NGO-FONIN)funded by DANIDA/HUGOU Programme. Basically the project helps institutional capacity building of the Club including their human resources development and share their knowledge and skills for further empowering to the indigenous and highly marginalized peoples at grass root level in Ilam for social transformation and change advocates.    Read More
