• Long Term Planning Workshop Held
CUC-KTM A three days Long Term Planning Workshop of CUC-KTM was held from 13-15 October 2006 in Kathmandu envisioning "Dialogue and Participation are the indispensable for Development and Peace". The workshop concluded to adopt four major strategic directions to reach the vision followed by many Strategic Action Plans.
The major strategic directions were as follows.( a) CUC shall have been advocating to the government for IPs/HMGs Human Rights and also for the proper identification and utilization of resources for coming five years. (b)CUC shall have been motivating its members for efficiency and effectiveness for coming five years.(c)CUC shall have been organizing capacity building program and campaign on nformation sharing about IPs/HMGs Human Rights for coming five years. (d)CUC shall have been organizing as well as informing to IPs/HMGs and
Networking with other right-based organization for coming five years.
The main Objectives of the strategic planning process were as follows: (a)To know what is strategic planning process. (b)To construct strategic planning process of CUC.(c)To reach the vision of CUC in systematic way.
In the Strategic Planning process (1)Envisioning (2) Determining the contradiction (3)Setting new directions for capacity building (4)Implementation Planning and (5)Clarifying next step were discussed.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Dammar Lohorung in cooperation of Non-governmental Organization Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities (NGO-FONIN) under the project of Janajati Empowerement and Inclusive Project supported by DANIDA/HUGOU. |
