• UNESCO concerned to revitalize Associated School Projects

President of Chulachuli UNESCO Club-Kathmandu represented in National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations holding the designation of Vice President, Mr. Chandra Singh Kulung expressed that United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is keen to revitalize the activities of the schools enrolled to implement Associated School Projects with the coordination of Nepal National Commission for UNESCO (NatCom on an interaction and consultation programme organized by National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations (NAFUCON) in cooperation with Nepal National Commission for UNESCO on 12th July 2009 in the complex of Arunima Higher Secondary School, Boudha, Kathmandu.

The purpose of the program was to interact with the representative of Associated School Projects Network to get feedback and difficulties they have been facing so far to launch their projects and also to find better way of communication and dissemination of the activities done so far as committed while joining Associated School Project

The participants gave away their feedback to revitalize it as follows.

The Federation should coordinate to provide internet facilities in the schools to disseminate their activities and to receive new information regarding ASP and UNESCO. National Commission should make a programme to gather the representatives of ASP and encourage them to design, plan and implement the activities that are beneficial to the students for projmoting peace and sustainable development.

On the occastion President of UNESCO Associated Schools Teacher Assoiation, Mr. Gopal Krishna Shreshtha,Presedent of Don International School, Dr. Kedar Dahal, Vice President of NAFUCON, Mr. Chandra Singh Kulung and Hira Bahadur Chand expressed their view on the programme. Similarly the General Secretary of NAFUCON, Mr. Anandraj Tripathi and the Secretary dand the General Secretary of ASP Resource Center delivered their speech on the occasio.

On the programme the President of NAFUCON and Honorary Chairperson of the UNESCO Associated School Teachers\' Association, Associated Proessor Dambar Bir Thapa highlighted the strategies of NAFUCON and NatCom for conducting the programme and ensured to improve coordinative role in coming days to revitalize the activities of ASP and to disseminate them acroos the world. Finally the programme was concluded by him making a commitment to gather again in near future.

The programme was conducted by the Secretary of NAFUCON, Mr. Mahesh Prasad Sharma.
