A three day Training Of Trainers (TOT) on Advocacy Strategis and Approaches has commenced today on 3rd Nov.'06 for 8 Kirati Groups and 1 other group. The opening session of the TOT was addressed by Ms. Devi Lama, Vice President of AFRESH. This will conclude on 5th Nov.'06. Participants from Association of Nepal Kirat Kulung Language and Cultural Development, Bahing Kirat Mulukhim, Lohorung Yakkhaba Yuyong, Chi Hilamtum Bantawa Kirat, Kirat Radu Nachhiring Sakham, Association of Kirat Chamling Language and Cultural Development, Kiat Yamphu Samaj and Kirat Sangpang are taking part in the training. The training is organized by Bahing Kirat Mulukhim in partnership with International Center for Mountain Integrated Development (ICIMOD)with facilitation of Advocacy Forum for Research in Equitable Society in Himalya (AFRESH. The objective of the TOT is to produce capable human resources in the country to advocate the issues of people systematically with non-voilence approach and in a sustainable way. The main resource persons for the TOT are Dr. Nani Ram Subedi, Coordinator, Decentralization and Local Governance,ICIMOD, Kathmandu and Mr. Shanti Ram Bista from AFRESH and B. Kafle, B. Singh from Local Development Training Center.
